Evaluation
Dr. Serrata’s evaluation experiences have included evaluating domestic violence prevention and intervention efforts, as well as building the evaluation capacity of community based, domestic violence organizations through technical assistance. Dr. Serrata has extensive experience in multi-site evaluations including leading a national level evaluation of 12 sites across the US working to support survivors and their children. In addition, she is considered a leading implementation scientist in the area of programming for Latina/o communities as she has led the adaptation and implementation of a national curriculum for Latina/o survivors that has been implemented in more than ten sites nationally. Skilled in participatory and culturally-relevant evaluation, Dr. Serrata along with several community-based organizations, led the development of a nationally recognized evaluation toolkit for organizations providing culturally-specific domestic violence services. She has particular expertise at formative evaluation work as she has worked to develop theories of change, logic models, theory-driven principles and formative tools (including a trauma-informed practice tool) with dozens of organizations. She is currently a Co-PI of a formative evaluation project for the development of a technology-based prevention tool for young Latin@ adults.
